Eliades Ochoa
Is one of only a small handfull of musicians that has put Cuban music where it is today. As a guitarist and tres player who understands the sounds of Cuba he is the greatest and what’s more he is alive and putting on concerts that has everyone in the auditorium on their feet. As for trade mark songs even the famous “Chan Chan” gets put in line with the rest of them. The songs just keep coming one after another.

Eliades was Born in 1946 near Stantiago de Cuba in Songo la Maya. He has been playing all his life and was classical trained in Cuba.

Being part of the BuenaVista Social Club bought him World wide fame and although his black cowboy hat is not so offen featured on the Buena Vista stage his solo concerts with his voice and playing are certainly a match for them.
