DanceCuban

The Cuban salsa classes have now been running at Sutton Staithe Hotel for just over a year. Over half of the people that come to the class now came on that first night last year. Most were new to dancing and we feel that some of our reasons for starting the Club have been achieved. We didn’t not only want to teach people to dance we wanted them to love the roots of the dance and to give them something special to take away with them, that infectious magic you get when you see how dance and music is such apart of the Cuban people.

We wanted our teaching to be as Cuban as we could get it and in the process we have learnt a lot.

What the people in our classes have achieved they have done for themselves we are just glad to have given them the opportunity.

The other reason for starting DanceCuban was to do our bit in getting people to dance to the music.

If it’s Cuban music then it’s Cuban dance “period”

If it say’s Cuban Classes then that’s what they should be.

Like wise with any other music.
